Startup Grind Names 50 Companies to the 2018 Global Startup Program

Startup Grind: Inspiring, Educating and Connecting Entrepreneurs.
REDWOOD CITY, CA – February 5, 2018 – Startup Grind announced today the induction of 50 Companies into the 2018 Class of Startups. The Startup Program recognizes the top 50 companies from a group of 130 candidates that were handpicked to act as exhibitioners in Startup Grind Global 2018. The Startup Grind Startup Program’ s Top 50 companies are an elite group of pre-seed and seed-stage companies that have collectively raised more than USD $40 million and that hail from countries that include Mauritius, Japan, Bangladesh, Australia, Guatemala, Canada, and the United States.
Startup Exhibition companies are given access to a global audience through media and onsite presence at the annual Global Event ( held February 12th through February 14th in California’s beautiful, historic downtown Redwood City. The exhibition allows companies to accelerate their growth and success by helping them gain the visibility of mentors and investors in our network.
“We started this program after seeing many of the Accelerators and Incubators not doing much to really help companies,” says Derek Andersen, founder & CEO of Startup Grind. “We really wanted to make an actual difference in startups’ trajectories and leverage all of our resources and network to their advantage.”
“Of the 7,000 plus startups that were considered, 130 from 80 countries were selected to represent the Startup Grind community. The Top 50 have been inducted into our Global Startup Program for 2018. These startups have great teams, traction, and technology, along with massive markets,” says Andersen. “Our biggest goal is for each startup to go back home with a new and improved game plan that would not have happened without the exposure of the exhibition and the mentors and resources that were gained through our network.”
